How to play Bubble Shooter

Use a short break to learn the rhythm of Bubble Shooter. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Use the example below to understand a decision. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

Try a deliberate move

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Controls

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

A useful example

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Read the matching step again.

Watch out for this

Contact with a different colour is not a match. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use.
